Wildlife Pikelets

I seem to be spending a lot more time in the kitchen lately.  I didn’t make gourmet wild duck food today but wildlife pikelets. Great for a wildlife themed party or special occasion, don’t you think?

I used a piping bag (a plastic bag with a corner cut off) to help me guide the pikelet batter onto the fry pan. For extra control, I would also suggest making the batter slighty thicker than normal.

Secret Tip – If you can’t draw, you could always find animal-shaped metal cookie cutters – easy!

I confess, I took a photo of my best animals. A few didn’t turn out quite so well. Luckily Miss Possum didn’t mind eating the ones that looked more like blob monsters!
